Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has called on the judiciary to deepen its understanding of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies to effectively adjudicate modern financial crimes. Speaking at the EFCC–NJI Workshop for Justices and Judges in Abuja, Tinubu emphasized the need for judicial officers to stay abreast of technological advancements.

"How does one do justice in a cryptocurrency fraud case except one is grounded in such matters?" the President questioned, underscoring the critical link between technical knowledge and fair judgments. His remarks were delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima, who warned that corruption tactics are evolving rapidly in the digital age.

The administration is implementing measures to enhance judicial welfare and safeguard the independence of the judiciary. This initiative comes as global regulators increasingly recognize the importance of tech-savvy legal frameworks for digital assets.
